Showcases an array of 1940s home dressmaking patterns. Includes designs for dresses, blouses, skirts, coats, children etc. There are instructions for making a double velvet beret.
The accompanying free sewing pattern is for the dress featured on the front cover. It is the pre-cut, unprinted type of pattern that was popular at this time. It will fit a 36 inch bust. There are also full instructions (with scaled-down pattern pieces) printed in the magazine (see photos).
In addition, there is a knitting patterns for a women's jumper.
A very scarce publication. An invaluable resource for the costume historian or collector of vintage sewing patterns.
Please note that this catalogue does not contain any actual sewing patterns (other than the accompanying free pattern). It was a showcase catalogue for patterns that had to be purchased via mail order or from a local stockist.
In average vintage condition. Some wear and tear. The staples are intact but rusted with some rusty discolouration surrounding them. General age discolouration.There are some small tears and losses on the cover, along with some dog-earing. the free pattern is in excellent, UNUSED factory folded condition.

The patterns are unused, complete and I unfolded them to count them because one of the pieces had come looses from the factory folded bundle. This is a second-hand item.
