Pattern and instructions to make Simplicity 6242; ©1974; Girls' Dress and Scarf: The dress with skirt gathered to bodice at normal waistline has contrasting front sections, back zipper, bias bound high round neckline, self fabric tie ends and short set-in sleeves gathered to armholes. Rick-rack trimmed V. 1 and daisy trimmed V. 2 are regular length. V. 1 & 3 have flared sleeves. V. 2, 3, 4 & 5 have puff sleeves gathered with elastic casings. Ankle length V. 3, 4 & 5 features eyelet beading and ribbon trim. The scarf has ribbon tie ends. Scarf V. 1 has rick-rack trim. V. 3, 4 & 5 have eyelet edging.
The pattern is complete and uncut, the instructions are presenthas been used. The envelope has some signs of wear. It is creased with small tears and there are corner bumps. There is spotty discolouration (foxing) on the envelope. There is discolouration on the tissue paper pattern. This is a second-hand item.
