Pattern and instructions to make: Simplicity 4734; ca. 1963; Men's Action Back Shirt: Shirt has a notch-type collar, raglan sleeves, a pleat each side of center back for more freedom of movement, patch pockets and front button closing. V. 1 has long sleeves pleated to the wristbands and top-stitching detail. V. 2 has short sleeves with notch detail, slit openings at lower edge of side seams and may have top-stitching detail or braid trim.
The UNPRINTED pattern is complete and the pieces are creased, some are discoloured, there are pencil marks on some pieces and some have tiny tears on them. The instructions are present. The envelope is creased, torn down the sides and has spotty discoloration (foxing), writing in pen and adhesive tape residue. This is a second-hand item.
