Vogue 5717; ca. 1946; HOUSECOAT OR NEGLIGEE. Skirt section is gathered in front, and joined to blouse by inset belt. Tie end on right front is seamed to belt; separate tie end attached at left side of belt. Surplice closing below collarless V-neck-line. Cluster gathers on shoulders. Long bishop sleeves or very short shaped sleeves with deep armholes. Optional novelty banding or lace around armhole and for cuffs.
The UNPRINTED pattern is missing the cuff piece for the long-sleeved version. This should not be a problem for the experienced sewer. Some pieces are creased and some have spotty discolouration. The envelope has many signs of wear. It is creased and torn, especially at the top at the top, and has spotty discolouration. The price reflects the condition for this rare item. This is a second-hand item.
