Pattern and instructions to make: Vogue 9871; ca. 1978; Misses' Dress and Vest. Loose-fitting pullover dress, three inches below mid-knee has round neckline, center front slit, front, back and raglan sleeves gathered into a narrow bias neckband, attached straight grain tie ends, elasticized waistline, pockets in side seams and three quarter or full length sleeves elasticized at lower edge. Close fitting vest, slightly below waist length, lined-to- edge, has scooped neckline, slightly cut away armholes and front self tie end closings. (Vest will not meet at center front.) Purchased belt.
The pattern is cut out and has been used. Some pieces are crinkled, have tiny tears and small holes. The pieces are cut out a bit roughly in places. There is a one inch tear on the bottom of the dress front piece and the sleeve piece. The envelope has wear and tattering, with some tears down the front from the top. It is creased and there is some spotty discolouration (foxing), tears down one side. This is a second-hand item.
